Three claw-like blades were removed from a carry-on bag at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, prompting a security review by Transportation Security Administration officers. The incident occurred recently during standard checkpoint operations.

TSA officer Douglas Linn identified the object while reviewing X-ray images. He recognized the shape of the item and flagged it for further inspection. Linn stated that he saw three distinct blades with claw-like features. He described the object as unlike anything he had encountered in his two years with the agency.

Oishi, a property search officer, conducted a physical search of the bag. He confirmed the prohibited item and removed it from the passenger's belongings. The object resembled a combination of Wolverine-style claws and Freddy Krueger blades, according to officials.

The passenger remembered the items once Oishi took them out of the bag. The traveler voluntarily abandoned the blades at the checkpoint. Oishi handled the situation during the search, maintaining standard professional procedures.

Ann Rhoades, the supervisory officer on duty, commented on the rarity of the find. She noted that in her seven years with the TSA, this was one of the most unusual items she had seen. Rhoades said the passenger was unsure if the bag contained anything sharp when asked by Oishi.

The passenger acknowledged the presence of the sharp items after the search was complete. The blades were left at the checkpoint and did not proceed to the airplane cabin. Officials noted that some accessories are more suitable for movie screens than for air travel.
