A weather system is moving into Middle Tennessee, bringing rain to Davidson County and Southern Kentucky this weekend.
Forecasters expect mostly cloudy skies on Saturday with afternoon temperatures in the 70s. While isolated showers or drizzle are possible late in the day, most areas will remain dry. Overnight lows will hover near 60. Sunday will feature off and on light rain showers. Clouds will persist throughout the day, keeping highs in the 60s. The rain is expected to continue into the afternoon.
The weather pattern shifts slightly early next week. Clouds are likely to remain on Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures ranging from the low to mid 70s. Spotty showers are possible on both days, but rainfall coverage will remain isolated. More widespread rain, potentially accompanied by thunderstorms, is possible on Wednesday.
Trick-or-treaters can expect mild conditions on the evening of October 31. Lows are projected to be in the upper 50s to near 60. Afternoon highs on Friday reached near 80 before clouds began to increase. The dry spell ended earlier in the day, leaving residents with a brief period of sunshine before the weekend system arrives.
Forecasters noted that the upcoming rain is a much-needed weather-maker for the region. The shift from sunny, warm conditions to cloudy, milder temperatures marks the transition into the weekend storm system. Residents should plan for wetter conditions by Sunday.
