Metro Nashville Police Department detectives arrested two suspects Wednesday night, bringing the total criminal charges against the pair to 60. The arrests occurred on Gallatin Pike South, concluding a yearlong investigation into recurring retail thefts.
Darius Patterson, 34, and Dainyale Moore, 31, were taken into custody by Robbery Operations detectives. Investigators stated the suspects repeatedly targeted large home improvement retailers, specifically naming Home Depot and Lowe’s. During these incidents, the pair stole power tools valued in the hundreds, or potentially thousands, of dollars per incident.
Prior to their Wednesday night capture, both suspects carried substantial outstanding warrants. Patterson had 29 warrants, including 27 for felony and misdemeanor theft. Moore held 31 warrants, primarily for theft. She also faces two counts of misdemeanor child endangerment from a November 2025 incident. In that case, police said she left two young children in a vehicle while shopping at a local Dollar General store.
The financial stakes for the suspects are high. Patterson is currently held on a $98,500 bond. Moore is held on a $99,000 bond. Both individuals remained in the Nashville jail on Thursday, awaiting further court proceedings.
The combined 60 charges reflect the volume of incidents logged over the last year. The arrest marks the latest action by the department’s Robbery Operations unit in addressing organized retail theft in Davidson County.
