Metro Nashville Police Department records have identified the three Nashville Fire Department employees who visited a Broadway bar while on duty, providing specific details of the incident that led to their departures from the department.

The police report names the employees as Athams Davis, Griffin Hunter, and Daniel Wrenn. It states that the three men were on duty when officers asked them to step outside Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row shortly after midnight on Monday. The men told investigators they were in the establishment at that time.

Management at the bar contacted police after a bartender expressed concerns about potential liability. The bartender noted that the three individuals were wearing department shirts and carrying radios, suggesting they were on the clock. While all three men denied drinking alcohol to officers, one stated he had only consumed water. The bartender told investigators the group ordered two vodka Red Bull drinks and one water. She provided a receipt showing one of the men signed for the purchase, though she did not personally see who consumed the beverages.

Upon responding to the scene, an NFD captain placed the three employees on administrative duty. The department later announced that all three were no longer employed following an internal misconduct investigation. The Nashville Fire Department initially stated it would not provide further details because the matter involved personnel. It later clarified that the three men had resigned rather than being terminated.

The incident has drawn attention to how the department handles on-duty conduct at local venues. The police report serves as the primary public document outlining the timeline and the specific claims made by both the employees and the bar staff during the initial police contact.
