Nashville residents could see college basketball's biggest weekend land in their city between 2032 and 2036. The NCAA named Nashville one of seven finalist cities competing to host the Men's Final Four during that five-year stretch.
The Division I Men's Basketball Committee picked Nashville from a record pool of interested host cities. Denver, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Las Vegas and New Orleans are the other finalists. A Nashville win would mark the city's first time hosting the event.
NCAA staff and committee members will judge each finalist on competition venues, hotels, transportation and infrastructure. Evaluation continues through site visits, meetings and additional materials submitted by each city.
City representatives will make their cases during NCAA summer meetings set for July 2027 in Naples, Florida. The NCAA plans to announce the 2032 through 2036 hosts after those meetings.
The bid arrives as Nashville lines up major events at the new Nissan Stadium, including the 2030 Super Bowl and future College Football Playoff championship games. Hosting the 2030 Super Bowl and the new Nissan Stadium is seemingly giving Music City momentum to host more large sporting events.
Representatives from each city will present their proposals during NCAA summer meetings in July 2027 in Naples, Florida. The NCAA plans to announce the 2032-36 hosts after those meetings.
