The No. 17 Florida Gators face the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs on Friday, October 30, at 3:30 p.m. ET. The matchup takes place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta because the Jacksonville venue is under renovation. Bookmakers list the Bulldogs as 11.5-point favorites, with a total point line set at 56.5.

This is the first time the annual rivalry game has been played indoors. Georgia enters the contest after a bye week and a 27-24 home loss to Auburn. Florida also had a bye week but arrives on the back of a 27-24 road victory over Texas. The Bulldogs hold a five-game winning streak against the Gators, with each previous victory by 14 or more points.

Offensive production remains high for both squads. The Bulldogs average 39.7 points per game, while the Gators average 37.5. Gunner Stockton leads the Georgia attack with 1,570 passing yards and 16 touchdowns. Florida’s quarterback situation remains unsettled as Aaron Philo and Tramell Jones Jr. both practice due to a shoulder concern. Coach Jon Sumrall has not named a starting quarterback.

Florida relies heavily on its running game, with Jadan Baugh leading the team with 763 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. The Gators’ defense improved in its latest outing, holding Texas to 24 points after allowing 38 and 45 points to South Carolina and Missouri, respectively. Georgia’s defense has limited opponents to 20 points or fewer in three of its last four games.

SportsLine’s projection model simulated this matchup 10,000 times and predicts a combined total of 51 points. The model suggests the Under on the 56.5-point total hits 61% of the time. The projection also indicates that one side of the spread covers more than 60% of the time in the simulations.

The model enters Week 9 with a 68-59 record on top-rated college football picks. It has returned nearly $400 for a $100 bettor following those selections. The game marks a critical test for both programs as they look to solidify their positions in the College Football Playoff race.
