Titans Trade Jeffery Simmons To Chicago

The Tennessee Titans are sending defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears, a move reported Thursday by Netflix Sports and confirmed by ESPN. The package includes first-round draft picks in 2027 and 2028 plus a fourth-round pick in 2027. Chicago also receives a fifth-round pick from Tennessee in the 2028 NFL Draft.

It is reportedly the first time since the draft was created that a defensive tackle has brought back multiple first-round picks. Simmons has spent all seven of his NFL seasons with Tennessee. The Titans selected him 19th overall in the 2019 draft, which was held in Nashville, the only time the event has taken place in Music City.

Through seven games this season, his eighth in the league, Simmons has 4 sacks and 38 combined tackles, with 20 solo. He made All-Pro last year on 11 sacks and 67 tackles, 39 solo. Tennessee finished 3-14 in 2025 and sits at 1-6 in 2026.

Simmons will debut with Chicago on Monday night, when the Bears visit the 4-3 Seattle Seahawks. The Titans play the 4-2 Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
