Four Teenagers Shot at North Nashville Party
Shooting occurred near Jefferson Street after midnight; police seek tips from witnesses.

Four teenagers were shot at a Halloween gathering in North Nashville early Monday morning.
Metro Police confirmed that a 16-year-old girl sustained critical injuries. Three teenage boys were also transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds. The incident took place outside an abandoned building located approximately one block from the Krave restaurant on Jefferson Street. The party had attracted dozens, possibly hundreds, of young attendees when gunfire erupted just before 12:30 a.m.
Brittney Finn, co-owner of Krave, stated that the restaurant had closed for the night and staff were cleaning up when the shooting started. Finn received a call from a cook and a private security officer reporting gunshots and children running in all directions. Darryl Heath, the restaurant’s security officer, rushed to the scene. He described finding tape and shell casings scattered on the ground, calling the scene horrific.
Heath, a Marine Corps veteran and former Memphis police officer, assisted Metro Police in controlling traffic and helping reunite children with their parents. He noted that some parents arriving at the scene had to turn around to meet their children at the hospital. Heath said his personal experience as a parent influenced his response. He recalled his 21-year-old son being robbed and murdered years ago. That history helped him think like both a parent and a security professional during the chaos.
Finn and Heath reopened Krave to provide a safe space for the teenagers. They ensured the children had safe rides home, coordinating with Ubers and verifying vehicle details. Staff provided water and comforted the group while emotions remained high. Finn said she is proud of her team’s response to the situation.
Pieces of costumes remained scattered along Jefferson Street after the shooting. Metro Police are investigating the incident and have not yet identified suspects. Officers believe at least some of the shots originated from a car. Anyone with information is asked to contact CrimeStoppers at 615-712-7463.
