Police charged Antonio Javon Miller with 13 offenses after his car hit an officer during a Halloween traffic stop in Coopertown.

The incident began around 6:10 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, when officers directed traffic at the intersection of Oak Pointe Drive and Kacie Drive. They noticed Miller driving recklessly in the congested area. He sped into the neighborhood when officers tried to speak with him, but he returned to the same intersection where police gave multiple commands for him to stop.

Miller struck a foot officer while attempting to stop the vehicle. Police then ordered him to stop at gunpoint. Miller fled toward Highway 49 West when a vehicle ahead of him moved away. Officers chased him back into the Oak Pointe subdivision, ending the pursuit at the dead end of Joey Court. Miller was apprehended at that location.

The officer sustained minor injuries. Robertson County EMS evaluated the officer at the scene before transporting him to the hospital. He was later released. Miller was booked at the Robertson County Detention Center with a bond set at $185,000.

The Coopertown Police Department filed charges including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, evading arrest, resisting arrest, and driving under the influence of an intoxicant. Other charges include four counts of reckless endangerment, implied consent, reckless driving, speeding, accident with personal injury, drivers to exercise due care, and three counts of obedience to a traffic control device.
