Metro Nashville Police, District Attorney’s Office representatives, and DEA agents executed a search warrant at Caudle Veterinary Clinic on Gallatin Pike on Monday, November 2, 2026. The operation centers on allegations that an unlicensed person performed medical procedures on dogs and cats at the facility. Police stated that these procedures led to adverse outcomes for the animals.
Detectives from the Metro Nashville Police Department led the search alongside federal agents. The District Attorney’s Office also participated in the execution of the warrant. The clinic is located on Gallatin Pike in Davidson County. Authorities have not yet announced any arrests. They also have not released details about the specific scope of the investigation.
The search follows a report from September 2026 in which a Nashville pet owner described the death of her dog. She told WSMV that her dog died hours after undergoing surgery at Caudle Veterinary Clinic. The owner said she searched Tennessee’s state license-verification website after the incident. Her search returned no record for the person she believed performed the procedure.
The investigation focuses on the credentials of the individual who treated the animals. Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the adverse outcomes reported by pet owners. The DEA’s involvement suggests a federal component to the inquiry. The clinic remains the primary location of the current police activity.
