At least 3,171 Palestinians from 488 families were forced from their homes in Hebron by Monday, the fourth day of a military closure, according to Hebron Municipality data cited by the Wafa news agency.

The displacement operation began on Friday after two Palestinian gunmen fired at an Israeli army checkpoint at the city's northern entrance. The attack killed two soldiers and wounded three others. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the isolation of Hebron following the deaths. He stated that troops would conduct house-to-house searches in the gunmen's neighborhood. "We will act to destroy this place, to change it completely," he said.

Defence Minister Israel Katz said residents would not return "until we've finished dealing with all the Hamas issues in Hebron." Governor Khaled Dudin reported that Israeli forces searched more than 500 homes and arrested over 70 people. The city is now fragmented by 128 closed gates and 120 checkpoints.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society reported that the displaced population includes 127 infants, 81 pregnant women, and 26 people with disabilities. At least 47 people have been detained since Friday. In the Farsh al-Hawa neighborhood, bulldozers razed a three-apartment building owned by Riyad Amrish. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich ordered the demolitions, according to Channel 12. The destruction also included a tile factory and an auto-parts shop.

B'Tselem, an Israeli NGO, warned that the operation amounts to collective punishment and acts that could constitute war crimes. The siege in Hebron is part of a wider pattern of encirclement across the West Bank. In Masafer Yatta, the family of Yusuf Shanaran has been besieged for three weeks by Israeli settlers. In Umm Safa, a demolition order was issued for a house built in 1954, with a deadline of November 11.

Violence against olive harvesters intensified this week. The Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission counted 482 attacks on the harvest across nine governorates by Sunday. Settlers stole olives and equipment in at least a dozen villages. In Burin, stones left three farmers with head wounds. In Berin, settlers fired live rounds at pickers. In Burqa, settlers burned dozens of olive trees on Friday. The army blocked Civil Defence crews from extinguishing the fire.

In Gaza, at least 37 Palestinians were killed in the last week. The Gaza Ministry of Health recorded 11 deaths on Monday alone. The cumulative toll since the October 2025 ceasefire stands at 1,559 killed and 5,608 wounded. Flour stocks ran out in Gaza, leaving only seven of 20 commercial bakeries open. A tray of eggs reached a price of 60 shekels.
