Tucker Carlson stated on Sunday that the Trump administration could launch a nuclear strike against Iran within days. He argued that the move is being driven by intense pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Carlson identified Pickaxe Mountain as the specific target. The site is located near the Natanz uranium enrichment facility and contains two deeply buried tunnel complexes. He noted that US and Israeli military planners question whether 13,000 kg bunker-buster bombs can penetrate the rock.

The commentator wrote that no conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels. He asserted that a nuclear strike is the only remaining military option. Carlson quoted an informed observer as saying that Netanyahu calls Trump about the issue every day.

Trump previously discussed Pickaxe Mountain in a Newsmax interview earlier this month. He described the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb, or MOAB, as a non-nuclear weapon. Trump called it a tiny nuclear bomb and the mother of all bombs, but clarified that it is not actually nuclear.

Carlson described Netanyahu as cornered and desperate, claiming the Israeli leader cannot form a government without Trump's direct intervention. He listed Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, Central Command commander Brad Cooper, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and CIA Director John Ratcliffe as allies currently under pressure from Netanyahu.

The commentator warned that a nuclear strike would radically accelerate global destruction. He urged hundreds of millions of potential victims to speak up against the plan. Carlson suggested that a global depression is imminent at the current pace of events.

These claims emerged as the United States launched defensive strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island. A US official described the attacks as limited and distinct from a resumption of major combat operations. The strikes followed Trump's response of no when asked on Monday if he was considering resuming attacks after Tuesday's election.
