A new FanDuel promotion offers 150 dollars in bonus bets to users who join before Sunday's NFL Week 8 slate. The deal requires a minimum wager of 5 dollars for three consecutive days. The offer coincides with a busy afternoon that includes the Chargers versus the Rams and the Chiefs versus the Broncos.

The betting lines for these games show tight margins. The Chiefs and Broncos match has a total point line set at 41.5. The Sunday Night Football game between the Eagles and Commanders features a total of 40.5 points. Washington holds a 5.5 point home advantage in that contest.

SportsLine experts are focusing on specific value in the Sunday schedule. The team backs the New York Jets to cover the 1.5 point spread against the Las Vegas Raiders. New York quarterback Geno Smith has accumulated 1,621 passing yards, 10 touchdowns, and two interceptions this season. The Jets rank fifth in the league against the pass. Their opponent, the Raiders, has lost four straight games and allows nearly 36 points per contest.

The projection model for that Jets game gives the New York team an A grade. The simulation predicts New York will win by five points in 58 percent of the runs. The model has processed the game 10,000 times to reach that conclusion. Kirk Cousins leads the Raiders with 1,877 passing yards and 16 touchdowns, but he has also thrown five interceptions.

In the NFC East rivalry, the model favors the Philadelphia Eagles to cover the 5.5 point spread. Jalen Hurts is out, and DeVonta Smith is dealing with an injury. The Eagles' offensive line has struggled, a problem that existed before Tanner McKee took over at quarterback. The Commanders are 1-4-1 with only one win by three points. They allow the second most points per game in the NFL.

Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin is out for the season, and Jayden Daniels missed recent games with an elbow injury. Washington scores four more points per game than Philadelphia. R.J. White, a SportsLine NFL expert, supports the Eagles side. He stated that he does not think the Commanders units collectively deserve to be favored by this much against basically anyone.
